Atalanta join the hunt for Gent right-back Thomas Foket

According to the football transfer rumours in Belgian Media, Atalanta have joined the hunt for KAA Gent right-back Thomas Foket.

The Belgium international was signed by Gent in July 2012 from Dilbeek Sport. The 22-year-old has a valid contract with KAA Gent until June 2018.

Since his arrival from Dilbeek Sport, Thomas Foket has scored three goals and provided 12 assists in 152 games for KAA Gent, including four assists in 50 games in all competitions this season.

The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Belgium.

Thomas Foket has represented Belgium at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 25 caps and scoring three goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2016. As a member of Belgium national football team, Thomas Foket has won two caps.

There has been no movement on Thomas Foket agreeing a contract extension at KAA Gent, and he will be on the radar of many European clubs during the summer.
