Bordeaux have reportedly made contact with Roma over a deal to sign Italy international Daniele Verde.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Bordeaux will look to sign Roma winger Daniele Verde.

The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

Verde has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2020.

The 22-year-old has long been touted as one of Italy’s most promising young talents.

Daniele Verde has represented Italy at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 22 caps and scoring two goals.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Bordeaux.

The report details that Gustavo Poyet feels his attack currently lacks some bite and that he could strengthen this summer.

Poyet is a long term admirer of Verde and believes he can get the most out of the Italy international.

According to L’Equipe, in what would be a remarkable twist of fate, Verde is on Bordeaux’s list of possible replacements for Malcom. The 22-year-old is back at the Olimpico after spending last season on loan at Verona but could be sold to raise funds and had been linked with Porto. He is a left-footed right winger like the Brazilian, who initially agreed a transfer to Roma but ended up accepting an 11th-hour offer from Barca.”
