The Spain international would be a versatile addition for the Roma, having featured at attacking midfield, right wing and in a left wing role.
With questions being raised concerning Riyad Mahrez’s transfer from Leicester City, the Roma sporting director could well look to Juan Mata as an ideal replacement.
How strong that interest is and whether Roma will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
