Hamburg set to sign Sparta Rotterdam defender Rick van Drongelen
Hamburg are set to sign Sparta Rotterdam defender Rick van Drongelen, according to the football transfer rumours in Dutch Media (Football Oranje).
The Netherlands international has joined Sparta Rotterdam in 2012. The 18-year-old has a valid contract with Sparta Rotterdam until June 2019.
Rick van Drongelen made 49 appearances across all competitions for Sparta Rotterdam, scoring one goal and supplying one assist in return.
The 18-year-old is considered to be one of the best young defenders in Netherlands.
Rick van Drongelen has represented Netherlands at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 level, winning 24 caps.
Markus Gisdol wants to sign a new defender this summer and Rick van Drongelen is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
