Parma set to sign Bruno Alves

Parma have been heavily linked with a move for Bruno Alves over the course of the transfer window.

The reports in Italy suggested that Parma are set to sign Bruno Alves.

During his time with Rangers, the 36-year-old made 25 appearances, scoring a total of two goals and also added one assist.

His record for Portugal is also impressive. Bruno Alves has scored 11 goals in 96 matches for Portugal at senior level.

Roberto D’Aversa wants to sign a new centre-back and Bruno Alves is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

Parma are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

Alves is a traditional defender. He is solid while defending and holds his position perfectly.

According to the Football Italia, “Reports in Italy suggest Bruno Alves has terminated his Rangers contract, so is now free to sign for Parma. The centre-back left Cagliari to join the Scottish Premiership side last summer, but failed to impress in Glasgow. It has been rumoured in recent weeks that the Ducali are keen to bring him back to Serie A, and Sky Italia is now reporting that his contract at Ibrox has been terminated. Alves is therefore free to sign for Parma, with the transfer expected to be confirmed in the coming days.”

If he turns out to be a key player like many expect, it could be one of the club’s smartest transfers.

The 36-year-old would be a very good addition for Parma and they can afford him as well.

Parma fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club this summer.
