Milan to consider bid for Sevilla winger Yevhen Konoplyanka
winger Yevhen Konoplyanka has emerged as a surprise target for AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media (Estadio Deportivo), AC Milan will consider bid for Sevilla winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.
The Ukraine international has joined Sevilla from Dnipro on a free transfer in July 2015. In August 2016, Yevhen Konoplyanka was sent to Schalke 04 on a season-long loan.
Konoplyanka has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 29 games for Schalke 04 in all competitions this season.
The Ukraine international has been in impressive form for Sevilla this season.
Yevhen Konoplyanka has represented Ukraine at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 26 caps and scoring eight goals, before making his senior international debut in May 2010. As a member of Ukraine national football team, Yevhen Konoplyanka has won 62 caps and has scored 14 goals.
Adding a winger remains AC Milan’s top priority this summer and Vincenzo Montella will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
Vincenzo Montella will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Sevilla winger is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.
AC Milan are in the market for just a handful of statement signings this summer who can improve the first-team.
The Ukraine international would be a versatile addition for the AC Milan, having featured at left winger, right winger and in a secondary striker role.
Yevhen Konoplyanka would reportedly be interested in a move this summer, but if AC Milan do want him, they will have to beat those other interested clubs to his signature.
