Lazio set to sign Twente striker Enes Unal
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Lazio are set to sign on loan Twente striker Enes Unal.
Enes Unal has joined Twente from Manchester City on loan until the end of the season. The 19 year-old has a valid contract with Manchester City until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Manchester City, Enes Unal has scored 18 goals and provided four assists in 30 games for Twente in all competitions this season.
The 19-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Turkey.
Enes Unal has represented Turkey at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 53 caps and scoring 43 goals, before making his senior international debut in March 2015. As a member of Turkey national football team, Unal has won five caps.
The Turkey international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi would prefer playing him as a forward.
Euro Football Rumours understood that the Turkey international is a long time target of Lazio sporting director Igli Tare. According to the rumours in Italian Media, Lazio want to take him on a loan deal for the next season.
How strong that interest is and whether Lazio will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
