Lazio edge closer to signing Fiorentina defender Gonzalo Rodriguez
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Lazio are edge closer to signing Fiorentina defender Gonzalo Rodriguez.
The Argentina international was signed by Fiorentina in August 2012 from Villarreal for a fee of 1.5 million euros. The 33-year-old has a valid contract with Fiorentina until June 2017.
Since his arrival from Villarreal, Gonzalo Rodriguez has scored 25 goals and provided six assists in 201 games for Fiorentina, including one goal in 31 games in all competitions this season.
The 33-year-old is considered to be one of the best defenders in Argentina.
As a member of Argentina national football team, Gonzalo Rodriguez has won seven caps and has scored one goal.
There has been no movement on Gonzalo Rodriguez agreeing a contract extension at Fiorentina, and he will be on the radar of many Serie A clubs during the summer.
