Politano has played 62 times for Inter Milan, scoring 6 goals and creating 6 assists.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Matteo Politano has represented Italy at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 14 caps and scoring 3 goals, before making his senior international debut in May 2018. As a member of Italy national football team, Politano won 3 caps and he scored one goal.

Fiorentina want to sign a new winger and Politano is one of the names at the top of their wishlist.

Matteo Politano is a long-term target of Fiorentina and could be a decent addition for their side.

Fiorentina are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The 26-year-old would provide a good variety to Fiorentina’s attack.

According to Calciomercato, “Matteo Politano continues to find little space at Inter under the management of Antonio Conte. Therefore, for a pretty long time now, there have been talks of a January exit for the Italian winger. By the looks of it, one club is insisting on his signature. According to reports from Corriere Dello Sport, Fiorentina insist on bringing in the former Sassuolo man in January. Should the lack of playing time continue, as the newspaper states, then Politano will start to look around in view of the transfer window.”

Inter are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the winger, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Signing the 26-year-old would be a masterstroke from Vincenzo Montella.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Fiorentina come calling for Matteo Politano this winter.
