Huddersfield set to sign Montpellier striker Steve Mounie

Huddersfield are looking set to land Steve Mounie after British Media (The Sun) revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Montpellier ahead of a potential move.

The Benin international has joined Montpellier in 2009. The 22-year-old has a valid contract with Montpellier until June 2019.

Mounie has scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 38 games for Montpellier in all competitions this season.

The Benin international has been in impressive form for Montpellier this season.

As a member of Benin national football team, Steve Mounie has won two caps and has scored one goal.

Adding a striker remains Huddersfield’s top priority this summer and David Wagner will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.
