Samu Castillejo has joined Villarreal from Málaga CF for a fee in the region of 8 million euros in July 2015. The 22 year-old has a valid contract with Villarreal CF until the June 2020.
Since his arrival from Málaga CF, Samu Castillejo has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 82 games for Villarreal CF, including three goals and five assists in 37 games in all competition this season.
Castillejo has also represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 13 caps across all age groups.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in La Liga.
The Spain international has been in outstanding form for Villarreal this season.
Samu Castillejo has been long term target of Arsène Wenger and José Mourinho as the managers look to bolster their attacking options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Arsenal and Manchester United aren’t the only ones who are reportedly interested in the 22-year-old. Manchester City and Napoli are also thought to be tracking him.
