midfielder Sven Kums has emerged as a surprise target for Anderlecht ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Belgian Media, Anderlecht are linked with a move for Watford midfielder Sven Kums.
The Belgium international has joined Watford from KAA Gent for a fee in the region of 9 million euros in August 2016. The 29-year-old has a valid contract with Watford until June 2021. Since August 2016, Sven Kums was loaned to Udinese Calcio until the end of the season.
Sven Kums has provided two assists in 37 games for Udinese Calcio in all competitions this season.
The 29-year-old has represented Belgium at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 15 caps and scoring one goal.
The Belgium international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfield player René Weiler wants to target in the summer transfer window.
René Weiler will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this summer and the Watford midfielder is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.
Sven Kums is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Anderlecht manager René Weiler would prefer playing him as a midfielder.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Sven Kums would be perfect replacement for Youri Tielemans.
How strong that interest is and whether Anderlecht will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
