West Ham eyeing Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim

Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim has emerged as a surprise target for West Ham United ahead of the January transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Turkish Media, West Ham are eyeing Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim.

Hasan Ali Kaldirim has joined Fenerbahce from Kayserispor for a fee in the region of 3.7 million euros in 2012. The 27 year-old has a valid contract with Fenerbahce until the end of the season.

Since his arrival from Kayserispor, Hasan Ali Kaldirim has scored three goals and provided 14 assists in 132 games for Fenerbahce, including two assists in 26 games in all competition this season.

Hasan Ali Kaldirim has also represented Turkey at Under-19, Under-20, Under-21 and Under-23 level, winning 14 caps across all age groups and scoring 2 goals. The 27 year-old was a member of Turkish national team, winning 18 caps.

The Turkey international has been a target of Slaven Bilic as the manager looks to bolster his defensive options for the second part of the season.

Euro Football Rumours were informed that West Ham United are preparing to pay nominal fee for the Turkey international services.

Hasan Ali Kaldirim was on the radar of Celtic for some while but it is West Ham United, who are in final phase to finalize a deal for his services.
