Tottenham eyeing move for Bologna star Mattias Svanberg

As the summer transfer window comes closer and closer Tottenham are being linked with more and more potential transfers.

It’s claimed by British media that Tottenham are eyeing move for Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg.

The 23-year-old has been with Bologna since 2018, having signed for the club from Malmö FF for 4.5 million euros. His current deal expires in 2023.

The midfielder has featured in 36 matches this term, netting 3 goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions.

He is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Sweden. Svanberg has also left his mark at the international stage after netting one goal in 18 senior appearances for the Sweden national team.

Mattias Svanberg will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Bologna this term.

The Spurs have earmarked Bologna midfielder as their target, with Antonio Conte being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player.

Tottenham have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

The Spurs are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

And one player very much on the club’s radar is said to be Swedish midfielder Svanberg. Paratici was reportedly looking at a deal for the 23-year-old in January. However, the club ended up landing Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus instead. That has not stopped their interest in Svanberg though. Indeed, Italian outlet 1000 Cuori Rossoblu reports that Tottenham have renewed their interest in the talented midfielder. Svanberg is widely regarded as the future of Swedish football, along Kulusevski. Indeed, the winger has already made a big impression in north London. The breakdown is considered to be just €10m (£8.5million) for Svanberg.”
