There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Ugurcan Cakir in the last period.
British source claim that Sheffield United are preparing move for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The 23-year-old has a valid contract with Trabzonspor until June 2024.
Cakir has conceded 78 goals and provided 13 clean sheets in 64 games for Trabzonspor.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Turkey.
Ugurcan Cakir has represented Turkey at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 9 caps, before making his senior international debut in May 2019. As a member of Turkey national football team, Cakir won 2 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Sheffield United.
Chris Wilder is a long term admirer of Cakir and believes he can get the most out of the Turkey international.
According to the report, “The Blades are looking for a new keeper with loanee Dean Henderson set to return to Manchester United at the end of the season. It is claimed that Chris Wilder’s side have launched an £11m offer which has been firmly rejected. Sheffield United want to keep Henderson for at least another season but remain in the dark over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the talent.”
