There has been numerous goalkeepers linked with Schalke in past few months.
The reports in England suggested that Schalke will look to sign Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The Netherlands international joined Norwich City from Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.
Since his arrival from Brighton, Krul has conceded 103 goals and provided 18 clean sheets in 74 games for Norwich.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Schalke.
Adding a goalkeeper remains Schalke’s top priority this summer and David Wagner will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
Wagner is a known admirer of the goalkeeper and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
Schalke are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
According to the report, “Schalke are eyeing Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul. The Sun says Krul is on Schalke’s watch-list for next season. The big Dutchman is fancied by David Wagner’s outfit as a replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Alexander Nubel. Krul is under contract but the Canaries may do a deal if they are relegated. The 31-year-old was the Canaries’ hero in midweek when he saved two penalties in a shootout against Tottenham to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.”

Schalke will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Krul to join the club.
Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for Schalke.
How strong that interest is and whether Schalke will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
