Sassuolo are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
According to Football Italia (via Mundo Deportivo), “Sassuolo have reportedly made a €12m bid for Barcelona defender Marlon. According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are ready to accept the sum but must negotiate the terms of payment with Sassuolo. Furthermore, the newspaper claims the Brazilian is ‘in no rush to make a decision on his future’, despite the Italian transfer window having only 12 more days to run. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Nice, but his two-season arrangement was cut short and he returned to the Blaugrana for preseason.”
