Barcelona tracking Schalke midfielder Amine Harit
Barcelona are on the hunt for a midfielder, and Amine Harit is a player who is thought to be on their radar.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Barcelona are tracking Schalke midfielder Amine Harit.
Schalke spent 8 million euros to sign the Morocco international from Nantes in the summer of 2017. The 22-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2021.
Harit has played 69 times for Schalke since signing from Nantes, scoring 8 goals and creating 14 assists.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 22-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
As a member of Morocco national football team, Harit won 7 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Barcelona.
Ernesto Valverde has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe. He is a long term admirer of Harit and believes he can get the most out of the Morocco international.
Amine Harit can play multiple positions in midfield.
According to Football Espana, “Barcelona are tracking Schalke midfielder Amine Harit according to reports in Diario Sport. Harit is highly rated by the Bundesliga side, and the defending La Liga champions have reportedly sent scouts to assess him in their weekend clash with Hoffenheim. The 22-year old joined David Wagner’s side in 2017, and established himself as a regular in their midfield mid way through the 2018-19 campaign, and he has developed into a key player for the team. The former Nantes player is a versatile midfielder, comfortable in both defensive and attacking positions, and Barcelona are confident of securing a potential deal for him for €18M. However any potential move for the Moroccan international is only likely to come about, if La Blaugrana can offload other midfielders, with Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal both linked with departures.”

Schalke are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the midfielder, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
