RB Salzburg will look to loan Brighton left-back Bernardo

There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Bernardo in the last period.

The latest reports in England suggest that RB Salzburg will look to loan Brighton left-back Bernardo.

The Brazil international was signed by Brighton in July 2018 from RB Leipzig for a fee of 10 million euros. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.

The left-back has banged in one goal and provided two assists in 7 matches for Brighton this term on all fronts.

Bernardo is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Brighton this winter and the list of suitors in the Brazil international continues to grow.

RB Salzburg are looking to sign a left-back and have identified the 25-year-old as potential transfer target.

Jesse Marsch is a long term admirer of Bernardo and believes he can get the most out of the Brazil international.

The 25-year-old is a skilled left-back who can make a difference at both ends of the pitch. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report,”Brighton left-back Bernardo is up for sale this month. Sky Sports says RB Salzburg are in talks over a potential loan deal for Brighton left-back Bernardo. The Brazilian could return for a second spell at the Austrian club which he joined in 2016. Bernardo’s found game time restricted under head coach Graham Potter this season making just three Premier League appearances.”

RB Salzburg will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Bernardo to join the club.

Good signing for RB Salzburg?

Bernardo stands as an excellent option for Salzburg.

A move to Salzburg is exactly what Bernardo needs to reignite his career, and we hope he is able to do just that.

All in all, Bernardo will be an ideal choice for Marsch as he ticks all the right boxes in terms of what he demands from his defenders.

How strong that interest is and whether RB Salzburg will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
