Juventus join the hunt for RB Salzburg striker Dimitri Oberlin

RB Salzburg striker Dimitri Oberlin has emerged as a surprise target for Juventus in the winter transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Juventus have joined the hunt for RB Salzburg striker Dimitri Oberlin.

The Switzerland international has joined RB Salzburg from FC Zürich for a fee in the region of 2.1 million euros in July 2015. The 20-year-old has a valid contract with RB Salzburg until June 2018. In July 2017, Oberlin was sent to FC Basel on a season-long loan.

Since his arrival from RB Salzburg, Dimitri Oberlin has scored 6 goals and provided one assist in 16 games for FC Basel in all competitions this season.

The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Switzerland.

The Switzerland international has been in impressive form for FC Basel this season.

Dimitri Oberlin has represented Switzerland at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 30 caps and scoring 18 goals.

Massimiliano Allegri is looking to shore up his attacking options and RB Salzburg’s Dimitri Oberlin happens to be a target.

The report claims that Juventus manager has extensively scouted Dimitri Oberlin and is considering a move for the striker.

The Switzerland international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of attacking player Massimiliano Allegri wants to target in the winter transfer window.

Juventus will be desperate to make an impact in winter transfer window.




The 20-year-old would be a very good addition for Juventus and they can afford him as well.

According to the report in Italian media, Juventus will be bidding against giants like Manchester United and Real Madrid for the Switzerland international services.
