Reports in the British media claim that Newcastle United have joined the hunt for Brighton winger Leandro Trossard.
The 27-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Brighton spent 15.56 million euros to sign the Belgium international from Genk in the summer of 2019. The 27-year-old has one and a half years left on his current contract which expires in 2024.
In 12 appearances this season, Trossard has managed to score 7 goals and contributed with 2 assists.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Belgium. Trossard has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 5 goals in 21 senior appearances for the Belgium national team.
Eddie Howe is eager to add a winger to the squad. He wants an experienced player that can be a leader on and off the pitch for him. The Belgium international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of winger Howe wants to target in the winter transfer window.
