Newcastle looking to loan Rob Holding
Rob Holding is a target for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Newcastle United are looking to loan Arsenal centre-back Rob Holding.
The England international was signed by Arsenal in July 2016 from Bolton Wanderers for a fee of 3 million euros. The 24-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
The centre-back has banged in one goal in 18 matches for Arsenal last term on all fronts.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 24-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
Holding is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Arsenal this summer and the list of suitors in the England international continues to grow.
Steve Bruce wants to sign a new centre-back and Holding is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The England international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player Bruce wants to target in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Rob Holding is a traditional defender. He is solid while defending and holds his position perfectly. His arrival would give Newcastle some much needed tactical flexibility.
According to the report, “Newcastle United are interested in signing Rob Holding from Arsenal. The Magpies want to strengthen their defence to help avoid another relegation fight this coming season. The Daily Mail reports that they want to secure Holding on a one year loan deal. He is likely available on loan or on a permanent transfer, as Arsenal have signed Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille. A loan move would let him get first team football, while strengthening Steve Bruce’s Magpies defence on a budget. Leeds United have also expressed an interest in the 24-year-old.”

The Magpies will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Holding to join the club.
Arsenal are preparing to sell their centre-back should they receive right offer for him.
Good signing for Newcastle United?
Newcastle United could benefit by signing Holding as the centre-back is one of the areas of concern for Steve Bruce.
The 24-year-old would be a very good addition for Newcastle and they can afford him as well.
Rob Holding still has time on his side but he is unlikely to fulfill his potential at Arsenal and it will be better for all parties if a transfer is arranged this summer.
If Steve Bruce sees him as the right man for his side, Newcastle should quickly make a move to fend off interest from other clubs.
