Since his arrival from Atletico Madrid B, Thomas Partey has scored three goals and provided three assists in 31 games for Atletico Madrid in all competitions.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in La Liga.
Partey has represented Ghana on international level, winning eight caps.
The Ghana international is a player who has impressed many Premier League clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka will use his Spanish connections to bring him to Riverside Stadium.
