Manchester United poised to land Andre Silva
It is an open secret that Manchester United need to sign a striker.
It’s claimed by British and German media that Manchester United are poised to land Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva.
The Portugal international was signed by Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2020 from Milan. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
The striker has featured in 22 matches for Frankfurt this term, netting 19 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Portugal. As a member of Portugal national football team, Silva won 37 caps and he scored 16 goals.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
United are looking to sign a striker and have identified the 25-year-old as potential transfer target.
Andre Silva is a long-term target of Manchester United and could be a decent addition for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side. Silva is a traditional number nine, having all types of finishes in his locker. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report,”Manchester United have identified Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva as a much cheaper alternative to Erling Haaland. United have been keen on beefing up their attack for some time. Indeed, they kept up a long-term chase for Jadon Sancho last summer, before backing away from his £108million exit fee. Sancho’s Borussia Dortmund teammate Haaland has also reportedly attracted attention from United. However, he would likely cost over £100million this summer ahead of a £65million release clause activating in 2022. As such, Sky Germany reports that United have identified Silva as a striker who is just as deadly, but could sign at a much cheaper price. The source claims that Old Trafford bosses believe that they can sign the Portuguese for €30million (£26million) this summer.”

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Manchester.
