Manchester United join the hunt for Pedro Goncalves

The latest reports in England suggest that Manchester United have joined the hunt for Sporting central midfielder Pedro Goncalves.
Sporting spent 6.5 million euros to sign the Portugal international from Famalicão in the summer of 2020. The 22-year-old has a valid contract with Sporting until June 2025.
The central midfielder has featured in 26 matches this term, netting 15 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.
The 22-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Portugal.
Pedro Goncalves has represented Portugal at Under-18, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 9 caps and scoring 2 goals.

Goncalves has played in a central role this season but is more than capable of playing on either wing. Liverpool were linked with Goncalves last month as they search for another midfielder.”
