Manchester United eyeing move for Bayer right-back Jeremie Frimpong
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Jeremie Frimpong in the last period.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Manchester United are eyeing move for Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Leverkusen spent 11 million euros to sign the Netherlands international from Celtic in the winter of 2021. He has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2025.
The right-back has managed 8 goal contributions across all competitions in the ongoing campaign.
He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Netherlands. Frimpong has represented Netherlands at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 11 caps.

Erik ten Hag wants to sign a new right-back and Frimpong is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The report claims that United manager has extensively scouted Jeremie Frimpong and is considering a move for the right-back.

The former Celtic man is comfortable playing out from the back and given Ten Hag’s demands, that would fit in perfectly with his tactics.
According to the report, “Manchester United are exploring a January deal for Bayer Leverkusen fullback Jeremie Frimpong. The right-back is currently at the World Cup in Qatar with the Netherlands. The Red Devils’ interest in the Dutchman has been previously reported but it is expected that talks could accelerate after the World Cup, says Sky Germany. Frimpong is able to play as a right winger as well as a right back, so could provide the Red Devils with some versatility on the flank.”

Jeremie Frimpong will be an ideal choice for Erik ten Hag as he ticks all the right boxes in terms of what he demands from his defenders.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit at Old Trafford.
