According to multiple reports emanating from England, Manchester United are among clubs keen on Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic.
The Croatia international joined Celtic from Legia Warsaw for a fee in the region of 3 million euros in August 2021. His contract expires in the summer of 2026.
The right-back has featured in 44 matches last term, netting 6 goals and providing 4 assists in all competitions.
The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Croatia. Juranovic has earned 20 senior caps for the Croatia national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
His impressive performances last season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Erik ten Hag needs to tighten up his defense and a right-back would be a welcome addition. The Croatia international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player Ten Hag wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The former Legia Warsaw man is a very comfortable defender and has qualities which would improve the Manchester United’s backline. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Manchester United are watching Celtic defender Josip Juranovic. The Daily Mail says United manager Erik ten Hag wants to sign a new right-back this summer and Croatia international Juranovic is on the radar. The 26-year-old has impressed in Scotland since arriving from Legia Warsaw last year. Celtic would be prepared to listen to offers for Juranovic at a starting price of £15m. Apart from United, Atletico Madrid are also keen where coach Diego Simeone remains concerned with his right-back options after the January sale of Kieran Trippier to Newcastle United.”
