The upcoming transfer window is set to witness a lot of quality left-backs switching clubs.
Reports in the British media claim that Manchester City are interested in Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell.
The England international joined Chelsea from Leicester City for a fee in the region of 50 million euros in August 2020. He is under contract at Chelsea until the summer of 2025.
The left-back has found the back of the net on one occasion and picked up two assists in 13 matches this season across various competitions.
He is considered to be one of the best left-backs in England. Chilwell has also left his mark at the international stage after netting one goal in 17 senior appearances for the England national team.
Adding a left-back remains Manchester City’s top priority this summer and Pep Guardiola will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming months.

According to The Times, Chilwell is among the players who is on boss Pep Guardiola’s list. The Citizens did try to sign him back in 2020, but he ultimately signed for Chelsea instead. Chilwell may not be first-choice with the Blues, given the summer arrival of Marc Cucurella.”
