Las Palmas chasing Nice striker Mario Balotelli
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, Las Palmas are chasing Nice striker Mario Balotelli.
Mario Balotelli has joined Nice from Liverpool on a free transfer in August 2016. The 26 year-old has a valid contract with Nice until June 2017.
Since his arrival from Liverpool, Mario Balotelli has scored 17 goals and provided one assist in 27 games for Nice in all competitions this season.
The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Italy.
Mario Balotelli has represented Italy at Under-21 level, winning 16 caps and scoring six goals, before making his senior international debut in August 2010. As a member of Italy national football team, Balotelli has won 33 caps and has scored 13 goals.
The controversial Italy international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Las Palmas manager Quique Setién would prefer playing him as a forward.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Las Palmas have already offered to Balotelli an initial one-year deal with the option of another year.
How strong that interest is and whether Las Palmas will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
