midfielder Rafinha is a target for Juventus in January.

Juventus are eyeing move for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian media.

The Brazil international joined Barcelona in 2006. The 24-year-old has a valid contract with Barcelona until June 2020.

Rafinha made 78 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona, scoring 11 goals and supplying 8 assists in return.

As a member of Brazil national football team, Rafinha has won two caps and scored one goal.

Adding a midfielder remains Juventus priority this winter and Max Allegri will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.

Juventus have built a reputation for recruiting talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

Max Allegri is a long term admirer of Rafinha and believes he can get the most out of the Brazil international.

The 24-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Juventus squad and would be a good buy in January.

According to the report, the Brazil international hasn’t been used a lot under Valverde this season as a departure could in fact be on the cards. It remains to be seen if Barcelona would let him go on a loan with an obligation to buy or if they only want a permanent transfer.

How strong that interest is and whether Juventus will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
