Gent agree deal with Rijeka midfielder Franko Andrijasevic

are looking set to land Franko Andrijasevic after Croatian Media (Sportske Novosti) revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Rijeka ahead of a potential move.

The Croatia international has joined Rijeka from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2016.

Since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb, Franko Andrijasevic has scored 18 goals and provided five assists in 32 games for Rijeka in all competitions this season.

The Croatia international has been in outstanding form for Rijeka this season.

Franko Andrijasevic has represented Croatia at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 44 caps and scoring nine goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2012. As a member of Croatia national football team, Franko Andrijasevic has won three caps and has scored one goals.

The Croatia international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfield player Hein Vanhaezebrouck wants to target in the summer transfer window.

Andrijasevic is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last season, and it is understood that K.A.A. Gent manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck would prefer playing him as a attacking midfielder.

The Croatia international would be a versatile addition for the K.A.A. Gent, having featured at defensive midfielder, central midfielder and in a attacking midfielder role.

According to the report in Croatian Media, Gent are offering around 5 million euros for Andrijasevic. Rijeka and Andrijasevic’s former club Dinamo Zagreb will receive 2.5 million each. The Croatia international will receive 800,000 euros-per-year.
