Jose has played 74 times for Real Sociedad since signing from Deportivo Maldonado, scoring 34 goals and creating 8 assists in that time.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Fulham.

Slaviša Jokanović is looking to shore up his attacking options and Real Sociedad’s Willian Jose happens to be a target.

The Brazil international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of striker Jokanović wants to target in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Espana (via Newcastle Chronicle), “Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose has emerged as a transfer target for newly-promoted English Premier League club Fulham. Reports in the Newcastle Chronicle say Newcastle United believe striker Aleksandar Mitrovic will no longer make his loan move to Craven Cottage permanent because of a potential deal for the Brazilian. The striker initially moved to Europe in 2013 when he was signed by Real Madrid’s Castilla team and he went on to have stints at Real Zaragoza and Las Palmas before joining La Real in 2016. The Basque club would be likely to demand at least €30m for his signature and the striker’s contract runs until June 2022.”

Real Sociedad are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the striker, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Signing the 26-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Slaviša Jokanović.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Fulham.

Whether he will join Fulham or not remains to be seen.
