Fenerbahce preparing move for Everton forward Joshua King

The attacking department of the Fenerbahce squad needs quality additions.

According to the football transfer rumours in Turkish and British media, Fenerbahce are set to sign Everton forward Joshua King.

The Norway international joined Everton from Bournemouth in February 2021. His contract expires in the summer of 2021.

The forward has featured in 8 matches for Everton this term.

The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Norway. His record for Norway is impressive. Joshua King has scored 17 goals in 51 matches for Norway at senior level.

Given that his contract is expiring soon and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in recent weeks.

Joshua King is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Everton this summer and the list of suitors in the Norway international continues to grow.

Erol Bulut wants to sign a new forward and King is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

The Turkish giants are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

There is no doubt that Joshua King will take Fenerbahce’s attack to a different level. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report,” The 29-year-old moved to Merseyside from Bournemouth on deadline day, choosing the Toffees over Fulham. Signing on an initial six-month loan, King has the opportunity to land a long-term deal should he impress. However, in eight outings for the Toffees so far, King is yet to rediscover the form that saw him targeted by Manchester United. The Norway attacker was signed initially as cover for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. But having stepped off the bench eight times, King is yet to earn a start. He’s also yet to score for the Toffees and doesn’t have an assist to his name. Indeed, having only scored three FA Cup goals for Bournemouth this season prior to his move, King is now without a league goal since July. As such, having failed to impress Ancelotti, King looks likely to become a free agent again this summer. Despite failing to catch the eye at Everton, King is unlikely to be short of suitors. Indeed, Turkish paper Sabah states that Fenerbahce are watching his situation closely. They claim Fener have already ‘started the transfer studies’ for the summer and are ready to make their move for King.”

Joshua King ideal fit for Fenerbahce?

A forward of Joshua King’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Fenerbahce squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of Erol Bulut’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his attacking department.

The 29-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Fenerbahce squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.

It will be interesting to see whether Fener will make their move during the summer transfer window.
