Arsenal and Liverpool are linked with Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, according to the football transfer rumours in British Media.
Kasper Schmeichel has joined Leicester City from Leeds for a fee in the region of 1.7 million euros in 2011. The 30 year-old has a valid contract with Leicester City until June 2021.
Since his arrival from Leeds, Kasper Schmeichel has conceded 281 goals and provided 82 clean sheets in 244 games for Premier League Champions Leicester City, including conceded 32 goals and provided 9 clean sheets in 24 games this season in all competitions.
The 30-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Premier League.
Kasper Schmeichel has represented Denmark at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 26 caps, before making his senior international debut in February 2013. As a member of Denmark national team, he won 24 caps.
The Denmark international is a goalkeeper who has impressed many European Clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger would prefer playing him as a replacement of Petr Cech.
