According to the football transfer rumours in British media, AC Milan will look to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
The Italy international joined Chelsea from Napoli for a fee in the region of 57 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The midfielder has banged in 9 goals and provided 3 assists in 38 matches this term on all fronts.
The 30-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Italy. Jorginho has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 5 goals in 42 senior appearances for the Italy national team.
Stefano Pioli wants to sign a new midfielder and Jorginho is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The Italy international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfielder Pioli wants to target in the summer transfer window.
AC Milan are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

According to the report, “AC Milan could look to replace Franck Kessie with Chelsea midfielder Jorginho. Ivory Coast star Kessie is expected to sign with Barcelona once his contract expires at season’s end. Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, stated this week that his client still dreams of playing in Serie A and named Milan as a potential destination. Calciomercato has backed up those claims by stating Jorginho is being considered as a replacement for Kessie. With Chelsea unable to sign players to new contracts, due to sanctions imposed on owner Roman Abramovich, the Rossoneri could target a cut-price deal for the Euro2020 winner this summer.”
