AC Milan eyeing Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan

Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan has emerged as a surprise target for AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, new AC Milan owners are eyeing Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan.

Alfred Duncan has joined Sassuolo from Sampdoria for a fee in the region of 5.7 million euros in July 2016. The 24 year-old has a valid contract with Sassuolo until June 2020.

Since his arrival from Sampdoria, Alfred Duncan has scored one goal and provided six assists in 56 games for Sassuolo, including two assists in 21 games in all competitions this season.

The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Ghana.

Alfred Duncan has represented Ghana at Under-20 level, winning four caps, before making his senior international debut in November 2012. As a member of Ghana national football team, Duncan has won only five caps and score one goal.

The Ghana international is a player who has impressed many Serie A clubs this season, and it is understood that AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella would prefer playing him as a central midfielder.

How strong that interest is and whether AC Milan will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
