Wolverhampton Wanderers set to sign Sevilla star Isco

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly holding intense negotiations with Sevilla in order to sign Isco in the winter transfer window.

According to multiple reports emanating from England and Spain, Wolverhampton are set to sign Sevilla midfielder Isco.

The Spain international only joined Sevilla from Real Madrid in 2022 on a free transfer and his contract runs to June 2024.

In 19 appearances this season, Isco has managed to score one goal and contributed with three assists.

Isco has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 12 goals in 38 senior appearances for the Spain national team.

Julen Lopetegui wants to sign a new midfielder and Isco is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

According to the report, “Wolves are closing on a deal for Sevilla midfielder Isco. The Spain international only moved to Sevilla this past summer from Real Madrid. However, Marca says Isco is set to leave next month for Wolves, where he will be reunited with his former Real Madrid and Spain coach Julen Lopetegui. Isco has already held talks with Sevilla sporting director Monchi and been cleared to depart in January.”
