There has been numerous centre-backs linked with West Ham in past few months.
The latest reports in England suggest that West Ham will look to sign Watford centre-back Craig Dawson.
The England international was signed by Watford in July 2019 from West Bromwich Albion for a fee of 6 million euros. The 30-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
In 31 appearances for Watford, Dawson has managed to score two goals.
David Moyes is looking to shore up his defensive options and Watford’s Dawson happens to be a target.
Craig Dawson is a long-term target of West Ham and could be a decent addition for David Moyes’ side.
The Watford centre-back heavily relies on his ability to read the game. It is coupled with his sensible tackling and an excellent sense of positioning, allowing him to repel most of the danger in the defensive third.
The England international has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Watford defender Craig Dawson is attracting Premier League interest. The Daily Mail says West Ham are looking to sign Dawson before the transfer window shuts. The Hammer failed with more than one bid for Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski and have now turned their attentions to Dawson instead. Dawson made 29 appearances for the Hornets in the top flight last season but has only featured in the Carabao Cup thus far during this campaign.”

It would take a huge offer from West Ham to prise the 30-year-old centre-back from Watford.
Good signing for West Ham?
West Ham in particular need to sort out a centre-back for this season and the 30-year-old could be a solid signing for them.
Craig Dawson has all the skillset required to be a success story at West Ham. Therefore, it makes sense for David Moyes to step up his attempts to bring the England centre-back to Premier League side.
West Ham fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club.
If David Moyes sees him as the right man for his side, West Ham should quickly make a move to fend off interest from other clubs.
