West Ham set to bid for Armando Broja

The Hammers could solve their issues at striker this summer as they eye up a move for Armando Broja.

It’s claimed by British media that West Ham are set to bid for Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old’s contract at Chelsea is set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

In 38 appearances for Southampton last season, Broja has managed to score nine goals, and create one goal for his teammates.

The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Albania. Broja has also left his mark at the international stage after netting four goals in 14 senior appearances for the Albania national team.

Armando Broja is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Chelsea this summer and the list of suitors in the Albania international continues to grow.

The Hammers have earmarked Chelsea striker as their target, with David Moyes being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player. The report claims that West Ham manager has extensively scouted Broja and is considering a move for the striker.

West Ham are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The 20-year-old provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker. His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Moyes’ side.

According to the report, “West Ham United are set to submit a bid for Chelsea striker Armando Broja. Sky Sports reports that the Hammers will put forward an offer of £30m for the Albania international. That is despite the uncertainty surrounding Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia. Granovskaia’s future is up in the air following Bruce Buck’s departure at the end of this month. A decision on Broja will then rest on the shoulders of new owner Todd Boehly and manager Thomas Tuchel.”

The Blues are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the striker, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

West Ham have to fork out a huge transfer fee if they are genuinely interested in the Albania international.

Good signing for West Ham?

Armando Broja stands as an excellent option for West Ham.

All in all, Broja will be an ideal choice for Moyes as he ticks all the right boxes in terms of what he demands from his attackers.

It will be interesting to see if West Ham are willing to pay the asking price for Broja.
