West Ham pushing to sign Darwin Nunez

West Ham are on the hunt for a striker, and Darwin Nunez is a player who is thought to be on their radar.

According to multiple reports emanating from England, West Ham are pushing to sign Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.

The Uruguay international joined Benfica from Almería for a fee in the region of 24 million euros in September 2020. His contract expires in the summer of 2025.

The striker banged in 25 goals and provided 2 assists in 31 matches this season across all fronts showcasing just how influential he has been in the final third.

David Moyes wants to sign a new striker and Nunez is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The report claims that West Ham manager has extensively scouted Nunez and is considering a move for the striker.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via his Here We Go podcast, Moyes’ team put in a £50 million January bid, but it was rejected by Benfica. The Portuguese giants want an even larger fee for the 22-year-old Uruguay international. The attacker is drawing attention from the likes of Manchester United, who will also be on the lookout for forwards this summer.”
