West Ham looking to loan Eric Bailly
The Manchester United centre-back has been identified as one of the club’s potential targets as David Moyes looks to add more reinforcements in the defensive unit.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, West Ham are looking to loan Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly.
The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester United from Villarreal for a fee in the region of 38 million euros in July 2016. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The centre-back has featured in only seven matches for Manchester United last term in all competitions.
He is considered to be one of the best centre-backs in Ivory Coast. His record for Ivory Coast is impressive. Bailly has scored two goals in 46 matches for Ivory Coast at senior level.
Eric Bailly is currently out of favor at United and could leave the club this summer.
David Moyes is keen to secure at least one more signing this summer, and Bailly could very well be a man under consideration.
The Ivory Coast international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive David Moyes wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The former Villarreal man heavily relies on his ability to read the game. It is coupled with his sensible tackling and an excellent sense of positioning, allowing him to repel most of the danger in the defensive third. He will add more quality to West Ham’s defense.
According to the report, “West Ham are interested in Manchester United defender Eric Bailly. The Athletic reports talks are progressing with a number of interested parties. They claim that West Ham, Marseille and Monaco would all like to sign the 28-year-old. Bailly’s wages could be a stumbling block and may hold up a potential deal. Interested teams would reportedly like to take the defender on loan, with United still paying a portion of his wages.”

The Hammers will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Bailly to join the club.
It is claimed that the Red Devils are open to letting Bailly go.
Good signing for West Ham?
Eric Bailly could offer a smart solution if West Ham can manage to get him on loan. If the deal works out and the 28-year-old plays well, a permanent deal could be pursued and if he fails to perform, Bailly can return to Manchester.
It will be interesting to see if West Ham can beat their rivals to the centre-back’s signature.
