West Ham linked with a move for Valencia young midfielder Yunus Musah

West Ham is closely monitoring the progress of a talented prodigy who once donned the Arsenal youth jersey, as they contemplate a potential summer acquisition.

According to reports from The Mail, the Hammers have set their sights on Yunus Musah, a skilled midfielder from the United States and former trainee of the Gunners.

At the tender age of 16, Musah embarked on a new adventure, joining Valencia in the summer of 2019. Initially placed in the reserves team competing in Segunda División B, the young talent steadily worked his way up the ranks.

Remarkably, just shy of turning 18, Musah made his momentous debut for Valencia’s first team in the illustrious La Liga. This auspicious occasion took place during a gripping 4–2 victory against Levante UD, where Musah exhibited his immense potential.

Fast-forward to November 1, 2020, and Musah etched his name in the annals of Valencia’s history. At a mere 17 years and 338 days old, he showcased his proficiency by netting a goal in a thrilling 2–2 draw with Getafe CF. Notably, this achievement made him the youngest non-Spanish player to score for the esteemed Valencia.

Throughout the ongoing season, Musah has continued to dazzle spectators with his exceptional performances in La Liga, even amidst the turmoil that has plagued his club.

Having represented Valencia in 35 matches this season, the 20-year-old midfielder has also demonstrated his selflessness by providing two assists for his teammates.

During his formative years, Musah possessed the ability to represent multiple national teams, including the United States, Ghana, Italy, and England. Despite initially representing England at youth level, he has since become an integral part of the USA national team setup, accumulating an impressive tally of 25 appearances for his country.
