West Ham agree deal with Bayer Leverkusen star Chicharito

West Ham have agreed deal with Bayer 04 Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, according to the football transfer rumours in British Media (BBC).

The Mexico international has joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen from Manchester United for a fee in the region of 12 million euros in August 2015. The 29-year-old has a valid contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen until June 2018.

Since his arrival from Manchester United, Javier Hernandez has scored 39 goals and provided nine assists in 76 games for Bayer Leverkusen in all competitions.

The Mexico international has been in impressive form for Bayer 04 Leverkusen last season.

Javier Hernandez has represented Mexico at Under-20 level, winning two caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in October 2009. As a member of Mexico national football team, Javier Hernandez has won 96 caps and has scored 48 goals.

The striker’s contract at Bayer Leverkusen is about to expire in 12 months and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation.

Slaven Bilic is a long term admirer of Javier Hernandez and believes he can get the most out of the Mexico international.

The Mexico international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of attacking player Slaven Bilic wants to target in the summer transfer window.

West Ham are in the market for just a handful of statement signings this summer who can improve the first-team.

The Mexico international would be a versatile addition for the West Ham, having featured at forward, secondary striker and in a right wing role.

According to the report in British Media, West Ham have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Mexico international striker for in the region of 19 million euros. They have already agreed personal terms with Javier Hernandez.
