Espanyol striker Felipe Caicedo has emerged as a surprise target for Premier Club West Bromwich Albion in the winter transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, West Bromwich Albion are join the hunt for Espanyol striker Felipe Caicedo.

Felipe Caicedo has joined Espanyol from UAE Arabian Gulf League club Al-Jazira on a free transfer in 2014. The 28 year-old has a valid contract with RSD Espanyol until June 2019.

Since his arrival from Al-Jazira, the Ecuador international has scored 23 goals and provided two assists in 88 games for RSD Espanyol, including one goal in 14 games in all competition this season.

Felipe Caicedo has been a target of Tony Pulis as the manager looks to bolster his attacking options for the second part of the season.

La Liga club Villarreal are apparently trailing West Bromwich Albion in the pursuit of Espanyol striker Felipe Caicedo.

Euro Football Rumours were informed that Felipe Caicedo wants to move to Villarreal, but Espanyol are willing to sell their striker to the highest bidder.

West Bromwich Albion are willing to offer around 3 million euros for the Ecuador international.
