Watford agree deal to sign Mauro Zarate
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Watford have agree deal to sign Mauro Zarate from Fiorentina.
Euro Football Rumours understands that Fiorentina have agreed permanent deal to sell the Argentina international to Watford for a fee in a region of 2.75 million euros and that the 29 year-old has already passed a medical. Mauro Zarate is ready to sign the contract until June 2019.
Since his arrival from West Ham United in 2016, Zarate has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 26 games for Fiorentina, including four goals and provided one assist in 9 matches in all competition this season.
The Argentina International has been a long term target of Walter Mazzarri as the manager looks to bolster his attacking options for the second part of the season.
Fiorentina’s striker had already spells in Premier League with Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United.
If Watford manager Walter Mazzarri can get sort of form out of him from the period when Zarate played for SS Lazio, there’s obviously no doubt he has the caliber to be a star at the Hornets.
Euro Football Rumours were informed that the deal will be made official on Monday.
