According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, Valencia linked with a move for Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho.
Ignacio Camacho has joined Malaga from Atlético Madrid for a fee in the region of 1.5 million euros in January 2011. The 26 year-old has a valid contract with Malaga until the June 2019.
Since his arrival from Atlético Madrid, Ignacio Camacho has scored 19 goals and provided nine assists in 186 games for Malaga, including four goals and two assists in 20 games in all competition this season.
Camacho has also represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 50 caps across all age groups and scoring six goals. Since November 2014, Ignacio Camacho is a member of Spanish national team, winning one cap.
Ignacio Camacho has been long term target of Salvador González Marco as the manager look to bolster his midfield options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Valencia wanted to sign Ignacio Camacho for a fee in the region of 10 million euros and additional bonuses of around 2.5 million euros in the January transfer window and that they are prepared for new negotiations with Malaga representatives in the summer.
How strong that interest is and whether Valencia will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
