Valencia have reportedly made contact with Sampdoria over a deal to sign Belgium international Dennis Praet.
The 25-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Sampdoria spent 8 million euros to sign the Belgium international from Anderlecht in the summer of 2016. The 25-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2021.
Praet made 106 appearances across all competitions for Sampdoria, scoring 4 goals and supplying 6 assists in return. He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
As a member of Belgium national football team, Praet won 3 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Valencia.
Valencia have built a reputation for recruiting talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
The Valencia manager Marcelino wants to continue to strengthening his squad so they’re able to compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.
There is no doubt that Dennis Praet will take Valencia’s midfield to a different level.
According to Football Italia, “Valencia are in negotiations for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet, but it’s reported his salary demands are causing a problem. According to Sky Sport Italia, Samp are prepared to sell for €15m plus bonuses. The main issue regards the 25-year-old’s personal terms, as his requests are deemed excessive by Valencia.”
