Tottenham pushing to sign Miralem Pjanic

There has been numerous midfielders linked with Tottenham in past few months.

The reports in England suggested that Tottenham are pushing to sign Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international only joined Barcelona from Juventus in 2020 for 60 million euros and his contract runs to June 2024.

The midfielder has featured in 30 matches last term in all competitions.

The 31-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His record for Bosnia and Herzegovina is impressive. Pjanic has scored 15 goals in 100 matches for his country at senior level.

Pjanic is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Barcelona this summer and the list of suitors in the Bosnia and Herzegovina international continues to grow.

The Spurs are looking to sign a midfielder and have identified the 31-year-old as potential transfer target.

Fabio Paratici is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

Tottenham are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The Barcelona midfielder is a traditional number ten who will add creativity and technique in the final third for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.

According to the report, “Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Miralem Pjanic. Barcelona have reportedly put the midfielder for sale on a free transfer as they look to reduce their wage bill. Spurs interest derives from new managing director Fabio Paratici. Paratici brought Pjanic to Juventus from Roma in 2016. According to Diario Sport, he wants to work with him again in North London. Chelsea, Juve and PSG are all reportedly interested in signing the 31-year-old.”
