Memphis Depay is expected to leave Barcelona this summer as he looks for a new challenge.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Tottenham are linked with shock Memphis Depay move.
The Netherlands international joined Barcelona from Lyon on a free transfer in July 2021. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
In 37 appearances for Barcelona, Depay has managed to score 13 goals, and create two goals for his teammates.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Netherlands.
His record for Netherlands is also impressive. Depay has scored 42 goals in 80 matches for Netherlands at senior level.
The Netherlands international is believed to be available for transfer, with Antonio Conte now keen to bring him to Tottenham.
Conte is keen to secure at least two more signings this summer, and Memphis Depay could very well be a man under consideration. The Italian manager is a long term admirer of Depay and believes he can get the most out of the Netherlands international.
The former Lyon man will offer the Tottenham boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Tottenham have made initial inquires regarding signing Memphis Depay this summer. The Barcelona forward is available, as he is out of favor at the Camp Nou stadium club under Xavi. According to Sport, Spurs and Barca are negotiating a loan deal for centre-half Clement Lenglet. During those negotiations, Spurs also asked about Depay’s availability. Manager Antonio Conte may see him as the ideal backup to the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Depay is willing to leave this summer, with Barca seeking £17.2 million.”

The Spurs will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Depay to join the club.
If Tottenham can agree on a fee with Barcelona, the deal should be easy to complete.
