Tottenham join the hunt for Bryan Cristante
When it comes to the transfer market, Tottenham are simply one of the best in the business.
The reports in Italy suggested that Tottenham have joined the hunt for Benfica midfielder Bryan Cristante.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Italy international was signed by Benfica in September 2014 from AC Milan for a fee of 5.2 million euros. In January 2017, Cristante was sent to Atalanta on loan until the end of this season.
Cristante has played 49 times for Atalanta since signing from Benfica, scoring 14 goals and creating four assists in that time.
Bryan Cristante is 23-year-old and has his peak years ahead.
As a member of Italy national football team, Cristante won two caps.
The Italy international has impressed in the Serie A this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
Adding a midfielder remains Tottenham’s top priority this summer and Mauricio Pochettino will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
The report claims that Tottenham manager has extensively scouted Bryan Cristante and is considering a move for the midfielder.
According to Football Italia (via Daily Telegraph), “Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante, with Roma, Juventus and Inter. The 23-year-old has found spectacular form since joining the Orobici on loan from Benfica and the club has already activated the €4m release clause. He is nonetheless expected to move on at the end of the season to a bigger club. According to the Daily Telegraph, Tottenham have set their sights on Cristante to improve their midfield.”
